Placement Auditions and Information

Placement Auditions for all levels of dance will be held on Tuesday and Thursday April 24th and 26th, 2018 from 4:30pm-6(ish)pm. They will be held in the studio space. (Adjacent to the lunch room) You choose which date you would like to go to and indicate that in a survey which is attached. YOU DO NOT NEED TO ATTEND BOTH DATES.

Be prepared to warm up, learn a phrase, and perform in small groups. Please wear form fitting clothes. No crop tops or short shorts, make sure that your belly and backside is covered completely. Hair should be pulled back in a ponytail or bun. You do not need to bring dance shoes (i.e. ballet shoes, jazz shoes, paws, etc) but you can if you would like.

After the placement auditions, we will teach a separate phrase to those dancers interested in auditioning for Kenwood Dance Project. KDP is a student choreography focused class meant for advanced dancers to choreograph and present work through different venues in Chicago and beyond. Dancers should read and sign the contract associated with the class as well as get a character reference form completed and returned to Ms. Schaefer. (this form can also be emailed back to her by the reference via Lmschaefer@cps.edu)
